PARALEGAL / LEGAL SECRETARY (PERSONAL INJURY)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Secretary to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal position, you will work directly alongside experienced solicitors, managing file administration, liaising with clients and key stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of personal injury and criminal injuries compensation matters.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing formal legal correspondence, court documents, tribunal forms, and general legal documentation under solicitor supervision

• Managing injury claim files efficiently from initial intake through to resolution, keeping matters updated and organised

• Acting as a primary point of contact to communicate compassionately and professionally with clients, medical providers, insurers, and government offices

• Requesting, tracking, obtaining, and reviewing medical records, expert reports, and evidentiary documentation

• Assisting solicitors with thorough claim preparation, brief preparation, court filings, and hearing prep

• Maintaining clean legal databases, digital filing systems, and practice management software to ensure complete file compliance and workflow tracking

About you

• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal (Personal Injury or Claims experience is highly regarded)

• Minimum qualification requirement of AQF Diploma or higher in legal studies

• Strong understanding of legal documentation, court procedures, and legal-medical terminology

• Exceptional organisational and task-prioritisation skills with keen attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate and client-focused approach
