The Opportunity
A rapidly-growing Australian consumer health and wellness brand is strengthening its product development function — and needs a leader to bring discipline, pace and accountability to how new products and packaging projects actually get delivered.
 
This isn't about pure strategy or innovation. It's about executing the direction and commercial priorities set by an NPD Committee (which this role acts inside of) and takes the approved briefs and turns them into a shipped product or re-shaped package format, on time and on budget.
 
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you'll own the end-to-end delivery of the NPD and packaging enhancement program — from formulation and packaging profile through to regulatory, quality, procurement, production trials and launch. You'll build the critical path, set the deadlines, chase the actions, and coordinate closely across Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality and Finance to keep every function moving in step.
 
Where risks or roadblocks emerge, you'll surface and resolve them early — this is a role built on follow-through and not simply status reporting.

About You
You've spent dedicated time within FMCG product development and commercialisation, and you know how to turn a brief into a delivered product without losing momentum along the way.

• Strong project and program management discipline through the stage and gate process
• Proven FMCG experience across packaging, manufacturing, regulatory and quality operations
• Commercially and financially literate, with understanding of how major national retailers operate
• Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders to make informed decisions when others hesitate
• A focus to execute and deliver projects while simplifying complexity with consistent, open communication throughout
