Part-time or casual 2-3 Days per week | Inner & Eastern Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula

Established in 2015, Matthew Morgan Horticulture provides high-quality garden maintenance and horticultural services throughout Melbourne’s inner and eastern suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula.

We are seeking a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic person who genuinely enjoys working outdoors and has an interest in horticulture.

This is an opportunity to work with a qualified and passionate horticulturist and small business owner, gaining practical experience across a diverse range of gardens while developing and refining your skills along the way.

What the role involves

Typical work will include:

• Pruning and trimming

• Hedging

• Weeding & general tidying

• Planting

• Mulching and fertilising

• Lawn mowing and edging

• Use of lawn mowers, blowers, whipper snippers and hedging equipment

• Maintenance of irrigation systems

You'll be working in a variety of residential gardens, so an eye for detail and genuine pride in your work are important.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

• Qualified in Horticulture (Degree, Diploma or Certificate), currently undertaking horticultural studies, or has at least two years' relevant industry experience

• Reliable, punctual and enthusiastic

• Physically capable of performing the requirements of garden maintenance work

• A good communicator who is comfortable working with clients and as part of a small team

• Positive, hardworking

• Interested in learning and developing their horticultural skills

• Respectful of clients, their homes and their gardens

• Detail-oriented and takes genuine pride in the quality of their work

• Comfortable working independently when required, while also being a collaborative team member

• Legally entitled to work in Australia

• The holder of a Victorian driver's licence with access to your own vehicle
