Laundry Assistant

We are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home.

The role is being offered as a Permanent Part Time contract.

The successful candidate must be available to work the following shift pattern:

Week 01 and Week 02

Thursday 0800-1200

Friday 0800-1200

The Role

• Ensuring all laundry and linen is laundered correctly, and infection control practices are adhered to
• Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
• Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
• Sorting and folding clean and dry linen
• Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement

About You

• Previous experience working as Laundry Assistant, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
