Registered Nurse (Plastic Surgeon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Registered Nurse to join our elite plastic surgery practice based in Double Bay. This is a dynamic, high-value role suited to an autonomous practitioner who takes pride in exceptional patient care, discreet professional service, and flawless clinical standards. You will work closely alongside a specialist plastic surgeon, supporting both clinical patient care and practice operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments, post-operative wound checks, suture/drain removals, and ongoing recovery monitoring.

• Act as a primary clinical point of contact, providing clear post-surgical guidance, managing patient inquiries, and mitigating anxiety.

• Capture, organize, and archive high-quality clinical before-and-after photography, maintaining patient consent records and portfolio management.

• Assist the surgeon during in-clinic consultations, minor room-based procedures, and treatment setups.

• Ensure clinical notes, GP referrals, and patient records are meticulously maintained to meet regulatory standards.

About you

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (mandatory).

• Demonstrated background in post-surgical care, wound management, or specialist cosmetic nursing is highly valued.

• Strong clinical judgement with the ability to manage post-op checks independently and identify potential complications early.

• Warm, highly articulate, and empathetic communication style suitable for a high-end private practice environment.

• Excellent organizational skills with experience or comfort in handling medical photography and digital record-keeping systems.
