About this opportunity:

We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Raw Materials Manager for a full-time position at out Lidcombe manufacturing plant. These positions rarely become available with long tenures amongst the team.  

About you:

We require a team-oriented and skilled Raw Materials Manager who is:

Self-motivated, experienced in FMCG (preference in dairy industry) 

Skills needed:

• Knowledge of chemical / mechanical engineering principles
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication,
• Safety and quality focused 
• Lateral thinking / troubleshooting skills
  

 Key Accountabilities 

• Understand and analyze in detail milk and product flow, process and technologies
• Understand in detail all the measuring methodologies (fat / protein / total solids / temperatures / weight / calibration…) and challenge the accuracy and the control plan
• Contribute to maintaining the reliability and uniformity of the company’s measurement tool (Milkoscan)
• Use Lactalis Raw material management methodology (GMP, COD, Standardisation, Yield, Key Parameter, Giveaway) and train / support each site team to take the ownership of these tools
• Review data entry in all Raw material management tool and report all the discrepancies
• Propose actions/solutions to address the root causes of any issue and prioritise them
• Provide the necessary elements/data for decision making for any changes
• Support the operational teams to develop and drive continuous improvement measures to improve Raw material performance
• Provide and / or control the Weekly Raw material reports to management team
• Manage data and information transfers into SAP
• Review chemical, ingredient and packaging losses data

Preferred:

• Previous experience in liquids food industry. 
• Experienced in Dairy industry 
• SAP system experience will be highly regarded.
