Our client is a highly regarded mid-tier professional services firm recognised for delivering quality audit and assurance services across a broad portfolio of listed, private and Not-for-Profit clients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior External Auditor seeking broader industry exposure, technically challenging engagements and clear career development within a firm that combines quality, flexibility and strong people investment. 

The Role: 

• Lead and execute external audit and assurance engagements across diverse client portfolios 

• Conduct audit planning, fieldwork, completion procedures and statutory audit assignments 

• Collate, assess and document audit evidence across material balances and financial transactions 

• Prepare and assist in drafting annual financial reports and assurance documentation 

• Liaise directly with clients regarding audit, accounting and compliance matters 

• Review straightforward audit workpapers prepared by junior team members 

• Support broader assurance and ad-hoc assignments as required 

• Travel to client sites as needed, including periodic weekly or fortnightly stays 

About You: 

• Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting 

• CA or CPA qualified 

• 4+ years Australian external audit experience, ideally within mid-tier or top-tier professional practice 

• Strong understanding of AASB, ASA, IFRS and relevant assurance legislation 

• Demonstrated audit planning, execution and completion capability 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong stakeholder and client relationship management ability 

• High attention to detail with strong technical and analytical capability 

• Proficiency across Microsoft Office and audit-related systems
