Make a difference in a growing NFP that supports military veterans and their families Belong to a friendly, fun and supportive team at our Bundoora home to 90 older persons Casual/s  About the Role The Lifestyle Assistant co-facilitates group and individual activities based on each resident’s assessed needs and preferences so that each resident may achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social and spiritual goals during daily living activities.  About you To be successful in this role, you will be kind, resident focussed and enjoy supporting residents to participate in a whole range of different activities. You must have: Passion for improving the quality of life for people living with dementia  Knowledge and experience in the provision of recreational/lifestyle activities to meet the needs of residents Positive attitude towards older people including understanding of the needs of older people and a commitment to upholding their rights Current valid driver's licence with the ability and comfort to drive an 8-seater van is a must Qualifications in Leisure & Lifestyle will be highly regarded!  You will be able to: Work cooperatively as part of a team and follow instructions from appropriate supervisor Effectively manage time and organise workload Use an electronic documentation system and undertake documentation Comply with Vasey RSL Care’s infection prevention and control procedures including bare below the elbows policy and to wear clothing compatible with safe manual handling requirements of the role We recognise the rich diversity of people across Australia.
