Niji Sushi Bar Kingsford offers a vibrant sushi train and à la carte dining experience, combining contemporary Japanese cuisine with traditional Izakaya flavours and modern Western influences.

We are looking for Casual Waitstaff to join our front-of-house team.

Location: Kingsford, NSW

Starting rate: $33.05/hr (Casual)

Availability: Monday to Friday availability preferred (min. 20+ hrs/week)

About the Role

As part of our service team, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes guests and ensures they enjoy a seamless dining experience. You’ll present menu recommendations, take orders, serve dishes with care, and work closely with our bar and kitchen teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and seat guests
• Present menu items and make thoughtful recommendations
• Take and process orders using our POS system
• Serve food and drinks with correct utensils and presentation
• Explain dish ingredients, cooking styles, and special items
• Assist with table setup, cleaning, and resetting
• Organise and prepare takeaway orders
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards

Requirements

• RSA certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) – Required
• At least 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service (Japanese restaurant experience highly regarded)
• Intermediate English communication skills
• Understanding of food hygiene practices
• Must be over 18 years old
