Sydney | Full Time | Recruitment
We’re looking for a switched-on, organised and confident Recruitment Coordinator / Resourcer to join our Sydney team and develop their career in recruitment.
Previous recruitment experience is welcomed, but it’s not essential. We’re equally open to someone with the right attitude, energy and potential who wants to learn the industry from the ground up.
You’ll work alongside an experienced Recruitment Consultant managing an established portfolio of clients and contractors.
What will you actually be doing?
Your role will be to help us find great people and keep a busy recruitment desk moving.
You'll be involved in:
- Writing and posting job advertisements
- Searching SEEK, LinkedIn and our candidate database
- Identifying candidates who could be a great fit for our clients
- Speaking with candidates about their experience and what they're looking for next
- Conducting initial screening calls
- Coordinating interviews
- Completing reference checks
- Preparing candidate profiles and recruitment documentation
- Helping candidates through the recruitment and onboarding process
- Supporting our existing contractor community
- Building talent pools for upcoming opportunities
- Keeping our recruitment systems and candidate information up to date
- Supporting the day-to-day delivery of a busy recruitment desk
As your confidence and experience grow, so will your responsibilities
Who are we looking for? We're much more interested in who you are than how many years you've worked in recruitment.
You'll probably do well here if you're:
- Confident talking to new people
- Naturally organised
- Curious and quick to learn
- Comfortable picking up the phone
- Good at juggling several things at once
- Someone who follows through on what they say they'll do
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Detail focused without getting stuck in the detail
- Positive and willing to get involved
- Interested in building a genuine career in recruitment
You may already have some experience as a Recruitment Resourcer, Recruitment Coordinator or Candidate Manager and be looking for an opportunity to develop further. Alternatively, you might have experience in another people-focused environment and looking for your first opportunity in recruitment. What matters most to us is initiative, curiosity, work ethic and the confidence to communicate with people.
What you'll get from us - You'll be learning alongside experienced recruiters rather than figuring it out on your own.
- You'll get exposure to the complete recruitment lifecycle and learn how a successful contractor portfolio operates from the moment a client has a requirement through to sourcing, interviewing, onboarding and supporting contractors once they're working.
- You'll also gain exposure to recruitment within the NSW Government market and build skills across candidate sourcing, interviewing, relationship management, recruitment technology and commercial recruitment.
- For the right person, this isn't intended to stay a coordinator role forever.
- As you develop, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress your career within Genesis.
About Genesis Genesis Recruitment is an Australian-owned recruitment business with more than 20 years' experience supporting government and enterprise organisations.
We're an established business, but we still operate with the energy and accessibility of a smaller team. You'll work directly with experienced people, have the opportunity to contribute and see very quickly how the work you do impacts the wider business.
If you're ambitious, good with people and looking for an opportunity to build a career in recruitment, we'd love to hear from you.
