Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service
About the role
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service provides Child and Family Health services across a diverse region, from regional cities and rural communities in the west to beachside communities along the coast.
Our Child, Youth and Family Health service is child-centred and family-focused, supporting families through health promotion and education, health and developmental surveillance, early identification of family needs and risks, early intervention and coordinated care.
Our teams work in partnership with parents and carers to build confidence, strengthen family relationships and support the health, development and emotional wellbeing of children and families. Care is delivered across a range of settings including family homes, community clinics, hospitals, schools and other community locations, as well as through telephone and telehealth services.
With opportunities available in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald and Yeppoon, you can build your career in the Central Queensland community that suits you.
As a Clinical Nurse – Child, Youth and Family Health, you'll bring advanced clinical expertise and autonomy to the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
You'll undertake comprehensive family assessments, develop and coordinate care plans, provide health education and early intervention, and build therapeutic partnerships with children, parents and carers. Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, you'll support families with diverse and sometimes complex needs while promoting responsive parenting and positive outcomes for children.

The position may involve home visiting and travel between facilities and locations across Central Queensland.
You are an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about Child and Family Health and committed to delivering contemporary, evidence-based and family-focused care.
You'll bring advanced clinical assessment, care planning, problem-solving and coordination skills, together with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
