Undergraduate Assistant Accountant

24 hours per week | $33–$35 per hour + superannuation

WS Remedial Group is seeking a motivated Undergraduate Assistant Accountant to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or commerce student looking to gain practical experience while completing their degree.

The position is 24 hours per week, worked across mutually agreed days. You will work closely with our Accounts team and support the day-to-day financial administration of a busy construction business operating across Queensland and New South Wales.

• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable

• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense claims

• Completing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records

• Assisting with bank and account reconciliations

• Supporting payroll and general accounts administration

• Preparing spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentation

• Following up outstanding financial information when required

• Assisting the Accounts team with other duties as needed

• Currently studying a Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or a related qualification

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Organised and able to manage competing priorities

• Willing to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks

• Previous accounts or administration experience is desirable but not essential

• Construction industry experience would be advantageous

• 24 hours per week

• $33–$35 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience
