Business Development Manager - Interfit

Hunt, win and grow new business across NSW

Interfit is looking for a high performing Business Development Manager to identify, pursue and secure new business across New South Wales.

This is a true hunter role. You won’t be stepping into an established portfolio and simply managing existing relationships.

Your focus will be building a pipeline, opening doors, creating opportunities and converting prospects into profitable, long-term customers.

You will confidently engage with stakeholders ranging from site teams and local business owners to procurement managers and senior executives.

Interfit is the service division of Yokohama TWS, a global tyre and wheel organisation operating across more than 40 countries.

We provide specialist tyre fitting, servicing and tyre management solutions across the materials handling, ports, transport, waste, industrial and heavy equipment sectors.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Sales & Service Director and working closely with the NSW State Manager, you will be responsible for expanding Interfit’s customer base and market presence across NSW.

You will spend significant time in the market prospecting, meeting potential customers, understanding their operations and developing solutions that deliver genuine commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Proactively identify, target and secure new customers
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
• Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals and direct outreach
• Develop and execute a focused new business territory plan
• Engage with decision makers, procurement teams and end users
• Identify customer challenges and present tailored commercial solutions
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements and close new business
• Successfully transition newly won customers into the business
• Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and forecast information
• Monitor competitor activity and identify emerging market opportunities
• Achieve agreed new business revenue and margin targets
• Represent Interfit and Yokohama TWS professionally in the market

About you

You are commercially driven, resilient and motivated by creating opportunities and closing deals.

You will bring:

• Proven success in a new business development or hunter style sales role
• A strong record of prospecting, opening doors and winning new accounts
• Confidence initiating conversations and building relationships from scratch
• Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
• Persistence, resilience and the ability to handle rejection
• The ability to manage your territory and work autonomously
• Strong planning, communication and follow up skills
• A current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSW

Experience in the tyre, materials handling, automotive, industrial, transport, waste or heavy equipment sectors will be highly regarded but is not essential.
