Personal Care Worker

We are looking for kind and caring people to help support older people and people who are very sick in their homes.

This job is full-time and you will work Monday to Friday, anytime between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Where You Will Work

You will drive to people’s homes in the Penrith area and nearby suburbs.
Some suburbs include:

• Penrith, Emu Plains, Jamisontown, Leonay
• St Clair, Orchard Hills, Erskine Park
• Glenbrook, Blaxland, Warrimoo, Emu Heights
• Katoomba, Leura, Lawson, Wentworth Falls
• Hazelbrook, Bullaburra, Blackheath
• Silverdale, Wallacia, Mulgoa, Luddenham
• And other nearby areas

You must have your own car for this job.

What You Will Do

Your job is to help people in their homes with things like:

• Helping them wash, dress, and move around safely
• Making simple meals
• Reminding them to take medicines
• Keeping the home tidy
• Caring for people who are very sick or near end-of-life
• Noticing if their health changes and telling the care team
• Driving to each person’s home for your visits

Work Hours

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• You must be available between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Sometimes you may be asked to work weekends or public holidays (with extra pay)

What You NeedMust Have

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support
• At least 1 year of care work in people’s homes
• Experience supporting people with complex or palliative care needs
• First Aid and CPR
• Driver’s licence and your own insured car
• A smartphone
• Police Check
• COVID-19 vaccination

Good to Have (Optional)

• Certificate IV
• Working With Children Check
• Extra training or skills in care work

• $40 – $93 per hour (depends on shift and experience)
