About the role
Mechanical Vegetation Solutions (MVS) is seeking an experienced WHSE Lead to oversee and continually improve MVS's integrated management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on role working closely with management and operational teams to ensure WHSE systems are practical, effective and embedded across the business. The successful candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused and confident working across both office and field environments.
Key responsibilities
Plan and conduct internal audits, inspections and verification activities.
Manage corrective actions, non-conformances and observations through our WHS system.
Lead incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Develop and review risk assessments, SWMS, policies, procedures and project documentation.
Coordinate employee inductions, training, licences and competency verification.
Manage first aid requirements across worksites and operational crews.
Coordinate Return to Work activities and liaise with employees, management and relevant providers.
Identify opportunities for improvement and lead WHSE improvement initiatives.
Provide practical WHSE advice and support to operational teams.
Support the business to maintain its ISO certifications and meet regulatory requirements.
About you
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher.
Return to Work Coordinator training.
Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Demonstrated experience conducting audits and workplace inspections.
Experience leading incident investigations.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities.
