Electrical Project Manager- ASP Level 1 & Major Infrastructure Works

Join Syscon, a leading Level 1 & Level 2 Accredited Service Provider (ASP), delivering critical electrical infrastructure projects across Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
As part of the Borg Group, Syscon specialises in the design and construction of overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electricity distribution networks, providing end-to-end civil and electrical solutions for residential, commercial and infrastructure developments.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead ASP Level 1 and major infrastructure projects throughout the Newcastle region.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with DNSP requirements.
You will
Manage ASP Level 1 and major infrastructure projectsPlan project scope, schedules, resources and budgetsCoordinate internal teams, subcontractors and site crewsBuild and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsEnsure compliance with DNSP standards, ASP requirements and WHS regulationsMonitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performanceIdentify and mitigate project risks and delivery challengesDrive a strong safety and quality culture across all projects
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with a background in electrical infrastructure, utilities or civil construction and understand the requirements of working within the ASP environment.
To be successful, you will have:
Proven experience managing electrical distribution, utility or infrastructure projectsExperience delivering ASP Level 1 and/or major infrastructure projectsKnowledge of DNSP standards and requirements, including Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and/or Essential EnergyAbility to interpret electrical designs, drawings and construction documentationStrong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with DNSP portals, approvals and network processes (desirable)Engineering, Electrical or Construction Management qualifications (desirable)Energy & Climate Change authorisation for ASP works (preferred)
