Barista

Are you passionate about great coffee and genuine customer service? We're looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Barista to join the team at 7 at Avondale.

Located on the beautiful Avondale University campus, 7 at Avondale is a vibrant café and cafeteria serving specialty coffee, fresh food, pastries and vegetarian meals to students, staff and the wider community.

This is a casual position with full-time hours available for the right candidate. You'll be an important part of our front-of-house team, delivering consistently excellent coffee and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and a variety of hot and cold beverages.

• Delivering friendly, efficient and professional customer service.

• Operating the point-of-sale system and processing customer transactions.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked coffee station.

• Assisting with food preparation and serving cabinet items as required.

• Opening and closing café duties.

• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
