Wa Return Recycle Renew
About the role
About WARRRL
Western Australia Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL) is the Scheme Coordinator for Containers for Change, leading Western Australia’s recycling revolution.
In just over five years, we have helped divert more than 5 billion containers from landfill, growing the container recovery rate from 33% to 66%, and supporting a diverse network of over 300 refund points. These refund points create meaningful employment through commercial operators, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations across the state.
Now two years into our strategic plan, WARRRL is focused on delivering the next phase of impact.
Our vision is to create a circular economy for containers that delivers positive environmental and social outcomes for Western Australia.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (0.6 FTE).
This is a broad and varied role supporting the delivery of People & Culture services across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the Head of People & Culture and Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will help ensure our people processes are delivered consistently, professionally and with a strong focus on employee experience.
You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, probation and offboarding activities, maintain accurate employee records and workforce data, support learning and development initiatives, and ensure P&C systems, documentation and processes remain current and effective. You will also play an important role in continuous improvement activities, helping us strengthen our systems, processes and ways of working.
This role offers exposure across all areas of the People & Culture function and would suit someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with process improvement and project work.
If you’re looking for a flexible part-time opportunity where you can make a genuine impact while working as part of a supportive and purpose-driven organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
About You
You have experience working in a People & Culture or Human Resources role and understand what it takes to deliver high-quality people processes and services.
You are organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You enjoy building strong relationships, supporting managers and employees, and finding practical ways to improve systems and processes.
You bring a strong customer-service mindset and take pride in ensuring things are completed thoroughly, accurately and on time. You’re comfortable working independently, but equally enjoy collaborating as part of a small, high-performing team.
Most importantly, you are motivated by creating positive employee experiences and contributing to a workplace where people can do their best work.

Experience with Employment Hero or similar HR systems will be highly regarded.
