🔹 About the OpportunityAs the Lead Microservices & AI Technical Architect, you will provide technical leadership and architectural authority across cloud-native, microservices-based and AI-enabled technology platforms.You will play a key role in influencing system design, engineering decisions and technology modernisation initiatives while helping establish modern, secure and scalable engineering practices.This role will also focus on strengthening technical capability, supporting knowledge transfer and driving engineering excellence across multidisciplinary teams.
🔹 Key ResponsibilitiesYou will:✔️ Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for cloud-native, microservices-based and AI-enabled platforms.✔️ Design, govern and evolve scalable, secure and resilient enterprise technology solutions.✔️ Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including AI-enabled software development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing and observability.✔️ Lead technology modernisation initiatives, including microservices enhancement, containerisation and enterprise system integration.✔️ Develop reusable architecture and engineering patterns that improve scalability, maintainability and operational resilience.✔️ Influence key technology, architecture and engineering decisions.✔️ Build organisational capability through technical leadership, knowledge transfer and engineering governance.✔️ Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners and senior stakeholders.✔️ Promote engineering excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
🔹 Essential Skills & ExperienceWe are looking for candidates with:🔹 Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud-native, microservices and event-driven architectures within complex enterprise environments.🔹 Strong experience in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery, including enterprise AI capabilities, semantic search, machine learning solutions and responsible AI practices.🔹 Strong software and platform engineering capability, including:Modern development frameworksDevSecOpsCI/CDAutomated testingObservabilitySecurity by designOperational excellence🔹 Proven experience leading enterprise technology modernisation and transformation initiatives.🔹 Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and influence complex architecture decisions.🔹 Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.🔹 Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.🔹 Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and effective technology solutions.
