We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals while meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences that are relevant to the real world of industry.

About the role   

We are seeking a passionate and supportive Teacher Aide to join our Brisbane Campus. This is a maximum-term contract position working 22.5 hours per week, across three days, until 11 December 2026. The specific days and hours will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the interview process. 

Working alongside our Education team, you will provide additional classroom support to our students, helping ensure our young people remain engaged, supported and able to achieve their educational outcomes. 
 
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people and wants to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and collaborative school environment. 

Your key responsibilities will include:  

• Providing classroom support and learning support to students under the direction of Teachers.  

• Building positive rapport with young people and encouraging their engagement, independence and confidence in learning 

• Recognising individual learning needs and working collaboratively with Teachers to provide appropriate support  

• Assisting Teachers with the preparation of learning materials, resources and classroom activities.  

• Supporting the supervision of students during educational activities, events and excursions 

• Maintaining appropriate students records and assisting with learning support administration 

• Supporting campus activities including wellbeing days, induction events, parent insights, open days and graduation.  

• Working collaboratively with the Education team to create a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment.

To be successful in this role you will have:  

Essential  

• Experience working with young people in a classroom or educational setting 

• A passion for helping others and seeing students thrive in their learning environment. 

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of an Education team. 

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)  

• Valid driver licence 

• Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values 

• Right to work in Australia 

It would also be advantageous to hold a Certificate III in School Based Education Support or equivalent, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and/or current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
