About the role
As Cook, you will prepare and serve nutritious meals and afternoon tea for 105 children in an early childhood service. You will cater for allergies, individual dietary requirements and cultural preferences, maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen that meets all food safety and hygiene requirements, manage food ordering and stock rotation of kitchen and cleaning supplies, follow food safety standards and complete required records, follow the service's food safety program and all relevant regulations, work collaboratively with educators and leadership team, and contribute ideas for menus.

Prepare/reheat and serve nutritious meals and afternoon tea for 105 children
Cater for allergies, individual dietary requirements and cultural preferences
Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen that meets all food safety and hygiene requirements
Manage food ordering and stock rotation of kitchen and cleaning supplies
Follow food safety standards and complete required records
Follow the service's food safety program and all relevant regulations
Work collaboratively with educators and leadership team
Contribute ideas for menus
About you
Previous experience cooking in an early childhood setting, school, age-care service or similar setting
A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) in Tasmania (or willingness to obtain before commencing)
Completion of Foundation Child Safety Training (or willingness to complete before commencing the role)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's health and wellbeing
