Machine Plant Operator – Ipswich & Surrounding Suburbs

Earthbound Civil is seeking an experienced and skilled Machine Plant Operator to join our team, based in Ipswich and surrounding suburbs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position, working alongside commercial builders on civil scopes including community housing, luxury apartments, warehouses, and building pads to name a few.

What you'll be working with:

• Our fleet of Kobelco and modern machines, including the SK140 fitted with full GPS

• A variety of work alongside experienced operators who take pride in what they do

• Commercial builders on early works packages

Responsibilities:

As an operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Safely operating a range of plant and equipment in accordance with site requirements

• Conducting prestart inspections and following WH&S procedures

• Assisting with excavations, earthworks, site preparation, material movement, trenching, and backfilling (if required)

• Identifying and reporting hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements

• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping

• Reading and interpreting site plans and programmes

Requirements:

• Construction White Card

• Relevant machine tickets, licences, and competencies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work well in a team, with the initiative to work independently when required

• A down-to-earth, fun, friendly, and professional approach to your work
