Barista – Espresso@theWesley (causal)

About the role

Espresso@theWesley is looking for a confident and reliable Barista to work approximately 20-25 hours per week, primarily across weekday morning and daytime trade. Located on Level 2 of The Wesley Hospital, the café is open Monday to Friday, 5:30am–4:30pm, serving quality coffee, breakfast, lunch and desserts to hospital staff, patients, visitors and local customers.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high-quality espresso coffees consistently during busy periods

• Perform coffee calibration, grinding and milk texturing

• Provide excellent customer service and communication

• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team

• Maintain good attention to detail and pride in presentation

• Deliver breakfast and café service

About you

• Previous barista experience, preferably in a busy café environment

• Strong espresso coffee-making skills

• Experience with coffee calibration, grinding and milk texturing

• The ability to consistently produce high-quality coffees during busy periods

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• A positive, friendly and professional attitude

• Good attention to detail and pride in presentation

• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team

• Reliability and punctuality

• Availability to work weekday mornings and daytime shifts
