About the role
VME Group is seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our teams in Western Australia. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing drilling equipment used in exploration and drill and blast operations within the mining and resources industry.What you'll be doingConducting routine maintenance and servicing on a variety of drilling rigs and associated equipmentTroubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues on drilling rigsWorking closely with the drilling crew to ensure optimal equipment performance and productivityMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performanceContributing to a safe and productive work environmentWhat we're looking forExtensive experience as a Drill Fitter, preferably with Epiroc and Sandvik Drill Rigs, within the mining, resources or exploration sectorsStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of drilling equipmentDemonstrated experience in maintaining drilling rigs and associated components, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsKnowledge of relevant safety regulations and the ability to work safely in a dynamic and hazardous environmentA valid driver's licence and the ability to work on a casual, flexible scheduleWhat we offerAt VME Group we are committed to investing in our team and providing opportunities for professional growth.
