Dental Assistant

Are you an experienced Dental Assistant looking for a change or perhaps a more fulfilling role?

Paediatric Dental Specialists' are seeking multiple dedicated Dental Assistants to join our team to work across our three practices - Karrinyup, Mount Hawthorn and South Perth. As a Paediatric Dental Assistant at PDS you will be responsible for providing excellent support to our large team of Paediatric Dental Specialists, General Dentists and Oral health Therapists all whilst ensuring our young patients receive the highest quality of care.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting paediatric dental specialists and general dentists during consults, procedures under RA/LA and treatment under GA.

• Assisting oral health therapist manage our large recall base.

• Sterilising and preparing dental instruments and equipment.

• Greeting and welcoming patients to build rapport and support their oral health for the long term.

• Recording patient notes and maintaining accurate records

• Supporting the broader team in a manner that complements a team orientated culture.

• Maintaining a clean, well organised and stocked dental surgery

• Liaising with patients and their families to address any queries or concerns

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young patients and their families

• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

• Proficient in using dental equipment and software

• A confident multi tasker who is flexible and adaptable, and possesses a calm and patient demeanour

• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
