About the role
Exciting opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis, based in Herston, Brisbane. To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders.
What you'll do
As the Advanced Workforce Officer (Identified), you will use your advanced allied health expertise and clinical reasoning to drive workforce and service delivery initiatives that support the future of healthcare in Queensland. You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of statewide strategies and projects focused on workforce capacity, clinical education, research, digital innovation and leadership, including the allied health component of the Growing Deadly Families Strategy in partnership with the Office of the Chief Midwifery Officer. Drawing on your specialist knowledge of First Nations health workforce issues, you will provide leadership in building cultural capability and shaping workforce strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes. You will represent Queensland Health in consultation, negotiation and partnership activities with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including professional associations, educational institutions, registration authorities and industrial organisations. In addition, you will develop high-quality reports, submissions, plans and communication materials, and provide authoritative advice to senior leaders and stakeholders on complex and sensitive workforce planning, service delivery, clinical education, research, digital innovation and leadership matters.
