Audio Visual Officer - Editor
Full-time, fixed-term position.
Working within the Office of Public Prosecutions' Audio Visual team, you will help ensure that audiovisual evidence is accurate, reliable and delivered in court-compatible formats. You will also assist with specialised AV systems and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's technical workflows and services.
About the role
As an Audio Visual Officer - Editor, you will be responsible for preparing sensitive and often complex audiovisual evidence in accordance with legal instructions, court requirements and established OPP procedures.
You will use professional nonlinear editing and media-processing systems to produce court-compatible audiovisual material while maintaining its accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and traceability.
Under direction, you will also assist the Audio Visual Technical Specialist with specialised OPP-AV computing systems and audiovisual equipment in office and court environments.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience using AVID Media Composer is highly desirable. Experience with AVID Interplay, Root6 ContentAgent, Rimage publishing systems or comparable specialist systems will also be regarded favourably.
A relevant tertiary qualification in audiovisual technology, screen and media, post-production or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience is desirable.
Exposure to potentially traumatic material
This position routinely involves exposure to confronting and potentially traumatic audiovisual evidence, including material depicting violence, abuse, death and serious offending. Applicants must be able to work with this material professionally, maintain appropriate confidentiality and make use of established supervision, wellbeing and support arrangements.
