What You'll Be Doing
As the Senior Physiotherapist in Neurogastroenterology, you will play a key role in delivering specialised assessment and treatment services for patients with complex gastrointestinal and anorectal disorders. Following comprehensive education and training, you will perform anorectal manometry and balloon expulsion testing to support the evaluation of anorectal dysfunction, and deliver anorectal biofeedback therapy as part of evidence-based patient management. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including gastroenterologists, nurses, administrative and research staff, junior medical officers and medical students to provide coordinated, patient-centred care. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to quality improvement, service development and research activities within the Neurogastroenterology Unit, supporting innovation and the translation of research into clinical practice.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria
Must hold qualifications recognised for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and contemporary physiotherapy skills, including experience in the assessment and management of patients with pelvic health, neurogastroenterology and/or complex gastrointestinal disorders. Demonstrated senior expertise in delivery, direction and management of physiotherapy services. Must have experience as a Level 2 Physiotherapist.Demonstrated experience in conducting service development, quality improvement activities and professional education.Demonstrated clinical leadership skills with the ability to provide consultation, education and service development in pelvic health and neurogastroenterology physiotherapy, and contribute to project outcomes, service innovation and the translation of evidence into practice.
