Grain Operations

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on person to help with receiving and processing bulk grain trucks and assisting with all aspects of loading grain into containers. We are a small, dedicated team who take pride in providing outstanding service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Sampling and classification of all incoming grain deliveries and containers packed

• Operation of weighbridge computer and grain packing equipment

• Assist with booking and managing receival timeslots & container movements

• Identify importing country requirements and collate necessary export documentation

• Assist with administration tasks as required

About you

• Strong preference for Grain industry experience (or a strong desire to work in the grain sector)

• Accredited (or willingness to be trained) as a Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer (AO)

• A demonstrated track record of accuracy and strong attention to detail

• Well organised and bright personality with ability to organise people

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a personable and clear phone manner

• Australian Citizen or have the right to live and work in Melbourne
