Emmaus Christian College is a multi-campus, non-denominational school, providing quality, distinctly Christian education from ELC to Year 12.

Work in conjunction with the classroom teachers, Learning Support Team and Student Wellbeing Team regarding student welfare concerns
Develop and implement a coordinated and restorative approach to the pastoral care of students
Support and enhance student leadership opportunities
In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and Deputy Head of Junior School - Teaching and Learning , implement the F-6 Social & Emotional Learning curriculum
Support the Head of Junior School to monitor the collective tone of students and have a significant presence in the school
Liaise with other relevant College staff regarding the development and implementation of policies including student behaviour, uniform, standards and policies
In conjunction with the Head of Junior School and other Deputy Head, provide leadership to the Junior School staff and be involved in staff performance, progress and reviews where appropriate
The advertised position represents an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at Emmaus Christian College. The Junior School Teacher role is ongoing, however the Deputy Head of Junior School – Pastoral Care is offered for a three-year tenure to the successful applicant.

A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
Demonstrated passion for Biblically based Christian education.
An appropriate qualification in Teacher Education.
Demonstrated ability in highly effective classroom teaching.
Demonstrated ability to work positively in a team environment.
Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate through a variety of means
Highly collaborative approach to work.
Have a teaching load that includes F-6
Current Teachers’ Registration, valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC and First Aid certification.
