About the role
Are you an experienced classroom teacher, leader, or instructional coach looking to scale your impact beyond a single classroom? This is not a life-coaching or corporate-coaching role; it is peer-to-peer professional training for schools and school systems.The role requires you to deliver high quality professional learning workshops and step directly into primary and secondary classrooms to model lessons and coach teachers.
At Classroom Mastery, we support schools nationwide to transform student behaviour and learning through high fidelity, cognitive science informed, well sequenced programs. We deliver to leaders and teachers, and provide in class coaching support in execution of those programs. We have partnered with nearly 200 schools nationwide.
About the Opportunity
As a casual Trainer and Instructional Coach, you will travel school-to-school within your home state (WA, VIC, or NSW) up to two days a week during school terms. You will:
Facilitate highly structured professional learning workshops for leaders and teachers.
Model evidence-based behaviour routines and high-impact teaching strategies directly in classrooms.
Observe teaching practice and provide precise, actionable feedback.
Help schools build sustainable, internal coaching capability developed from our frameworks.
About You
Teaching Qualification: A Bachelor of Education (or higher) and active registration with your state body (TRBWA, NESA, or VIT) is non-negotiable.
Classroom Track Record: Minimum of 5 years of recent teaching experience in an Australian school context, applying evidence-based classroom management practice, high impact strategies and structured literacy and numeracy programs.
Leadership Experience: At least two years recent experience as a Senior Teacher, Middle Leadership, Learning Specialist or Instructional Coach.
Pedagogical Alignment: Knowledge of and belief in cognitive-science informed practices such as explicit instruction, the science of learning and reading, and knowledge-rich curriculum.
Group Facilitation: Demonstrated experience delivering professional learning or running professional development sessions for teachers, leaders and support staff.
Coaching Skills: Strong coaching capability, including observing practice, providing clear and constructive feedback, and modelling effective teaching.
Compliance: A current valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and an Australian driver's licence with access to a reliable vehicle.
