Established in 2015, we are a growing energy company currently servicing New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania. We are a 100% Australian based workforce and provide energy that reflects the real cost of doing business whilst providing our customers confidence and peace of mind that we care about them.
Due to recent growth in our business, 1st Energy is now seeking an experienced collection and credit professional to assist in the success of this critical function of our business.

Responsibilities will include:
Inbound and outbound collection calls across our residential and small business customer base whilst adhering to 1st Energy’s collection procedures and policy guidelines
Manage ad-hoc collection campaigns as directed by the Credit Manager
Review and process account disconnections for non-payment
Negotiate appropriate resolutions and follow through across account re-connections
Manage escalated customer calls within policy guidelines
Manage on-boarding of our customers into the 1st Energy hardship program
Establish and maintain cross functional relationships across the business to improve customer satisfaction.
Be a proactive team member, not afraid to recommend process and policy solutions that will improve the financial performance of the overall credit function
To be successful:
A sound knowledge of receivables/credit, within the energy retail sector is preferred
A sound knowledge of relevant energy retail codes is essential – including but not limited to the Victorian Energy Retail Code, National Energy Retail Rules, Debt collection guideline for collectors & creditors and The Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act)
Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Exceptional customer service skills within a credit / collections environment is required
Solid written, listening and communication skills
Ability to add value to the overall performance of the team and its processes
Applicants with prior systems experience across Orion or Engage will be highly regarded
