ELLEN BAKE & SHAKE PTY. LTD. We are currently seeking skilled and passionate Chefs / Cooks to join our kitchen team and assist with the preparation and delivery of high-quality Indian food in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities Preparing and cooking a range of authentic Indian dishes in accordance with menu requirements and established recipes Preparing ingredients, marinades, sauces, curries and other food items required for daily kitchen operations Preparing and cooking vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including biryani, curries, naan and other Indian specialities Monitoring the quality, taste and presentation of dishes throughout preparation and service Planning and organising food preparation, including estimating food and labour requirements, in consultation with management Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during food preparation and service periods Training and guiding junior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques Checking food supplies, assisting with ordering and ensuring ingredients are stored appropriately and stock is rotated Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and ensuring food preparation and cooking comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements Assisting with general kitchen preparation, cooking and service duties as required to support the smooth operation of the restaurant Skills and Experience Minimum Certificate IV and/or Diploma of Hospitality Management or other equivalent successor qualification Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience working in a commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices and traditional Indian cooking techniques Experience preparing a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes Knowledge of curry, biryani, naan and other Indian food preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant kitchen environment Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Screening Questions What is your residency/visa status in Australia?
