Disability Support Worker

Summary:

You will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
• Assist clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.
• Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health.
• Promote social inclusion and community participation for clients.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with disabilities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
