An opportunity exists for an experienced Estimator to join our Fredon Air WA Construction team on a full-time basis located in Bayswater. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities as part of the estimating function with a focus on growth and profitability.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare estimates, quantities, prices and costings for a wide range of projects.

• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates and perform risk analysis.

• Gathering first-hand information from sites

• Deliver complete and profitable estimates and tender submissions simultaneously

• Manage time and processes (activity definitions, sequencing, duration estimations, schedule development and control process monitoring)

• Create, present and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons, including Project Managers and clients

• Assist in the preparation of the technical submission.

• Maintain cost database and technical knowledge.

• Understanding project/program and requirements

• Build relationships with key vendors including subcontractors, suppliers and engineers.

• Other responsibilities as directed by the Management, including financial and commercial.

 The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

• 3 plus years of experience as an Estimator within the commercial trade and construction industry.

• HVAC trade background is advantageous

• Be highly organised with excellent time management skills

• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to interpret technical HVAC drawings

• Experience in initiating and managing estimating processes and controls

• Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Drivers licence and white card
