Restaurant Manger

About the role

Zambrero Darwin CBD is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and lead a high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and achieving financial and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the restaurant in accordance with Zambrero policies, procedures and standards.

• Lead, motivate, train and develop team members to achieve high standards of performance and customer service.

• Recruit, onboard and retain team members as required.

• Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective labour control.

• Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs, wastage and other key performance indicators.

• Manage stock ordering, receiving, storage, rotation and stocktake procedures.

• Maintain accurate cash handling, banking, payroll and administrative records.

• Ensure all food is prepared, stored and served in accordance with food safety and quality requirements.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and workplace safety.

• Monitor food quality, portion control and product consistency.

About you

• Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail or quick-service management.

• Proven leadership and people-management skills.

• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

• Experience with rostering, stock control and cost management.

• A strong understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety.

• A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.

• Strong commercial awareness and a focus on achieving business results.

• A genuine commitment to developing people and maintaining high operational standards.
