Contracts Administrator

As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for managing contracts, supporting project delivery outcomes, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project execution across all phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and review tender packages, including scopes of work and supporting documentation
• Assess subcontractor submissions, negotiate pricing, and manage subcontract agreements
• Administer head contracts and subcontract contracts, including variations, EOTs and claims
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variations, and cost reports
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to ensure margin targets are achieved
• Maintain accurate project registers (RFIs, variations, EOTs, progress claims, etc.)
• Attend project meetings and coordinate communication between stakeholders
• Support the Project Manager with reporting, forecasting, and final account preparation
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and relevant legislation (e.g. Security of Payment)
• Assist with project close-out, including as-builts, warranties, and final documentation

About You

• Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Building or Quantity Surveying (or currently studying)
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Contract Administrator or similar role within commercial or industrial construction
• Strong understanding of contract management, construction processes, and delivery methodologies
• Experience with project management systems (e.g. Procore, COINs or similar)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage cost control and reporting
