Information Governance / Purview Specialist (Rmkble)

We’re looking for an experienced Information Governance / Microsoft Purview Specialist to join Rmkble’s EvergreenOps team in Perth.

EvergreenOps is home to Rmkble’s specialist expertise in information management, information protection and cyber governance.

Please reach out to speak with us if you are an experienced Information Governance/Purview Specialist who enjoys leading the development and ongoing maturity of enterprise information classification and protection capabilities. This is a technical consulting role, not a records administration or document control position.

What You’ll Be Doing 

You'll be designing and configuring Microsoft Purview capabilities including information protection, data lifecycle management, retention, records management, compliance and SharePoint governance while helping organisations modernise their information management platforms to enhance the governance of unstructured data assets at an enterprise level.
To be successful in this role, demonstrated Microsoft Purview experience is essential and applicants without strong hands-on Purview experience will not be considered.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement and enhance information classification and protection frameworks.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Purview capabilities including sensitivity labels, auto-classification and DLP policies.
• Develop reporting and insights on data protection effectiveness and risk trends.
• Support compliance, audit and control assurance activities.
• Drive adoption of sustainable information protection practices across the organisation.
• Develop & automate rule and policy deployment, enforcement and compliance where possible.

Key requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (essential).
• Strong background in information protection, information governance and cyber security.
• Experience implementing classification and protection controls in enterprise environments.
• Strong SharePoint and M365 skills (highly desirable).
• Ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders and influence outcomes.
