An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate nurse leader to join Knox Private Hospital as our Orthopaedic Services Manager. About the Role

As the Orthopaedic Services Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Managers across our Orthopaedic wards to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the orthopaedic journey.

With a strong focus on evidence-based practice, service optimisation and clinical excellence, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing growth and strategic direction of orthopaedic services at Knox Private Hospital.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday day shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and continuous improvement of Orthopaedic services across the hospital.
• Foster strong partnerships with Orthopaedic VMOs, nursing teams and allied health professionals.
• Drive exceptional patient outcomes through effective discharge planning and length of stay management.
• Support and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify opportunities for service innovation, growth and program development.
• Promote staff participation in case conferences and collaborative care planning.
• Monitor and manage quality, safety and accreditation requirements, including AOANJRR compliance.
• Contribute to policy development and implementation across the specialty.
• Ensure effective workforce planning, performance management and human resource practices.
• Champion a culture of teamwork, accountability and patient-centred care.

About You

You are an experienced Orthopaedic nurse leader who brings strong clinical expertise, outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare experiences.

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate nursing qualification and a minimum of two years' experience within the specialty.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical environment.
• Strong understanding of patient flow, discharge planning and service optimisation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with medical specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement and achieve outcomes.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
• Experience in human resource management and developing team performance.
