Transfer Station Operator

Our Herberton team is looking for a safety conscious, reliable & responsible individual to join our Waste Services department as a part-time permanent Transfer Station Operator. 

The Transfer Station Operator is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations at Tablelands Regional Council’s (TRC) waste facilities, including transfer stations and open and closed landfill sites. The position carries out waste management, site maintenance, and operational activities in an effective and efficient manner, supports other staff across facilities, and provides courteous assistance to members of the public while ensuring compliance with environmental, operational, and workplace health and safety requirements.

• Base salary package from $1,917.04 per fortnight ($30.92 per hour)
• A range of allowances included in base salary

• Set roster aligning with operational requirements  
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm Wednesday & Friday 
  • 8:00am - 5:30pm Saturday
  • 8:00am - 1:30pm Sunday
• Pro-rata annual leave accrual with 17.5% leave loading
