We're looking for a passionate and experienced Collections Officer – Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic Finance team based at our Toowoomba Support Office.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Collections Officer - Accounts Receivable, you will:

• Contact customers regarding outstanding payments via phone, email and written correspondence
• Manage the collection of outstanding debts and negotiate suitable payment arrangements
• Monitor customer accounts, investigate payment discrepancies and resolve account enquiries
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, payment commitments and customer communications
• Prepare reports on outstanding debtors and provide regular updates to the Accounts Receivable leadership team
• Deliver expert service and support to our customers and partners
• Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement
  

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections or a similar finance-related role
• Has a sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
• Demonstrates strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships
• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Can work independently, solve problems effectively and make sound decisions
• Has experience using financial systems and maintaining accurate records
• A proactive team player who takes ownership and drives results
