DIDO | 14 Days On / 7 Days Off | 10-Hour Days | Accommodation & Meals Provided | Mt Carbine, QLD

We are seeking two reliable and flexible DIDO Roadhouse All-Rounders to join our Mt Carbine Roadhouse operation, approximately 2 hours north of Cairns and 1 hour from Port Douglas. his position is not suitable for couples. The two positions operate on a split 14/7 roster, so candidates must be able to work the roster independently and be comfortable with separate roster arrangements. One of the successful candidates will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the Roadhouse Relief Manager while the Manager is on their R&R.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality all-rounder who enjoys variety and is confident working across Front of House, Cooking/Kitchen, Housekeeping and Administration in a small regional/remote operation.

The Role Working a 14 days on / 7 days off roster, 10 hours worked per day, you will be required to assist across multiple areas of the roadhouse operation, including:

• Short-order cooking – preparing and cooking burgers, meals and other takeaway/roadhouse food
• Customer service – serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• POS operation – processing EFTPOS, cash and point-of-sale transactions
• Retail – restocking drinks, snacks and retail shelves
• Housekeeping & cleaning – maintaining accommodation, facilities and roadhouse areas
• Food preparation and maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• General roadhouse duties and assisting wherever required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and high standard of presentation

About You:

• Experienced in hospitality, roadhouse, motel, accommodation, catering or remote/regional operations
• A confident all-rounder who is happy to work across different areas
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Reliable, flexible and hardworking
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working as part of a small team
• Willing to assist wherever required
• Able to work a 14/7 DIDO roster and 10-hour shifts
• Professional, well presented and committed to maintaining high standards

To be considered, you must have or be willing to obtain:   

• Must have an Open Australian Driver's Licence/Manual C Class (pref. Manual & must be any Australian State) & own reliable vehicle
• Current QLD RSA Certificate 
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
• Have a recent National Police Check (within 1 month)
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia
