New Horizon Construction (NHC) is an established and growing civil construction company delivering road reconstruction, civil infrastructure and maintenance projects across metropolitan Melbourne. Our work includes roadworks, drainage, concrete works, signage, line marking, fencing and associated maintenance services.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced, motivated and reliable people to join our civil crews. You will work with an experienced team delivering quality projects safely and efficiently. Depending on your skills and experience, opportunities are available in one or more of the following areas:

·         Relevant excavator or plant operator ticket

·         Demonstrated experience operating plants on civil and road projects of at least 5 years will be highly regarded

·         Ability to work safely around services, workers and live traffic environments

·         Current HR or HC driver licence

·         Experience operating non-synchromesh / Roadranger (double-clutch) trucks is favorable

·         Excavator ticket and operating experience of at least 5 years will be highly regarded

·         Permanent employment may be available for the right candidate

·         Practical civil construction and onsite experience

·         Concreting, small machine/power tool operation and general civil labouring skills

·         Ability to drive a small truck (Hino 300) with a trailer will be considered positively

·         Willingness to assist with material collection, deliveries and general site duties

·         Proven experience in civil construction, roadworks or infrastructure maintenance relevant to the role

·         Current Australian driver licence and reliable transport

·         Current White Card (Construction Induction)

·         Full Australian working rights

·         Current satisfactory National Police Check

·         A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

·         Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a crew

·         Reliable, versatile and willing to assist with a range of site tasks

·         Availability for overtime, weekends and occasional night shifts when required

·         Residence in or near Melbourne's Northern Suburbs is preferred

·         HR or HC truck licence

·         Excavator or other plant operator tickets

·         Traffic Control / Stop-Slow ticket

·         Certificate III in Civil Construction

·         Electrical Spotter ticket

·         Concreting experience
