We are seeking an experienced and driven Chef to join our Handsome Max team!

Operating Hours: Sunday - Wednesday 7:30am- 3pm, Thursday 7:30am- 4pm, Friday 7:30am-9pm, Saturday 7:30am-4pm.

Location: Glenelg East - close to transport and plenty of free off-street parking.

What you'll do

• Cafe/restaurant seeking an experienced Chef to join our team.

• Ability to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner items on the current menu and any specials currently running

• Prepare all ingredients used in our menu items

• Progression to help with menu development and creation of modern menu items and show your skill and passion

• Contribute to the development of a positive team culture

• Food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation.

• Cooking would be your main job and it is not essential to the position but would be valued amongst the team is the ability to serve customers and make great coffee.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef in a similar environment

• Available weekends

• Strong work ethic and highly motivated

• Passion for, and a sense of pride in your work

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills

• Must have full working rights in Australia (unfortunately we are not in a position to sponsor with current applications)

• Ability to assist the FOH team when required with basic service is desired but not essential - we have a team orientated approach to our service and our staff are multiskilled to jump in on any section to help.
  

Hours of Work

• Specific working days to be discussed during the interview process, however weekends are essential.

• Our company has the ability to discuss a flexible a role for a casual, part time or full-time position dependent on the applicant, with room for growth and management progression.
