At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Genetics Counsellor to be an essential part of our Cancer Services team. The role is supported through the family cancer clinic at Royal North Shore. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will share their time between North Shore Hospital and Gosford Hospital with the division of time to be determined.
About the Opportunity
As a Genetics Counsellor, you will provide outpatient-based Genetics counselling across CCLHD and via telehealth for families and individuals seeking information regarding their family history of cancer.
The role delivers genetic counselling clinical services (which may include family history documentation, assessment of genetic risk, delivery / explanation of information and client-centred counselling and genetic testing) in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
