Site Engineer / Project Engineer – Civil Contractor

Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as civil, demolition, remedial, rehabilitation, excavation, crushing, recycling etc.
Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, power stations, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include access roads, demolition, excavation, retention, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation, recycling, crushing, piling, foundations etc.
The project works will primarily be of a civil nature with typical values from $2.5 to $10m but can go up to $40m+. Personnel could be based from Newcastle to Muswellbrook and would look to line up projects depending on where people live. Current project pipeline is West Newcastle, to Singleton to Muswellbrook.
Years of experience:3-10 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on tendersPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teams safelyQuality Assurance, Cost and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resources
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar5 – 10+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $2m to $40m+Project management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands-on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
