About the role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable farm operations worker to join our team on a diverse family-owned farming operation of 2500 acres.
The farm includes broadacre cropping, irrigation, hay production and prime lamb breeding and finishing.
This role would suit an independent, practical, all rounder who enjoys operating machinery, looking after equipment and getting stuck into whatever needs doing.
Machinery and Cropping
Operating John Deere tractors and modern cropping, tillage and harvesting equipment
Fertiliser spreading
Grain handling and storage
Hay mower conditioning, raking, baling, transport and storage
Operating centre-pivot irrigation systems
Boom spraying and spot spraying
Truck operations: Semi tipper, stock crate, drop deck, tray truck
General Farm Work
Fencing- new and repairs
General property maintenance
Small engine maintenance and repairs
Sheep Husbandry
Feeding and watering
Animal health treatments
Lambing
Moving and handling sheep
SKILLS -ESSENTIAL
Proven experience operating tractors and farm machinery
Mechanical aptitude
Manual drivers licence
Ability to work independently and reliably
Good general farm skills
Sheep husbandry experience
SKILLS -DESIRABLE
Truck licence
Boomspray experience and ACUP
Welding and fabrication
Chainsaw experience
Firearms licence
WHAT WE OFFER

Hours: Generally Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, with additional hours required during busy seasonal periods.

Accommodation can be provided.
Pay range: $65,000 to $90,000 depending on experience and skills.
