Dental Assistant - Full or Part Time

Melbourne Oral Medicine Clinic is an exciting multi-disciplinary Centre incorporating the disciplines Oral Medicine, Dental Sleep medicine and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a full or part time Dental Assistant to work at our Southbank clinic.  Working as part of a motivated team, you will assist out three Oral Medicine Specialists and Dentists part time with minor surgery and general duties. You will preparee the clinic for surgery, ensure high standards in sterilisation and understanding of high standards of infection control are maintained.

The other aspect of this role will be the face of our organisation. Greeting patients snd showing themn to the clinic suites. You will also be required to assist our reception team to help patients arrange appointments, ensure accurate details and records are kept and updated from time to time.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

•         Previous dental nurse experience essential (with qualifications)

•         Experience in sterilisation duties and understanding of high standards of infection control

•         Excellent interpersonal skills in order to show our patients understanding, care and compassion

•         Self motivated, well presented and great worth ethic and high attention to detail

•         Excellent time management skills in order to prioritise tasks

•         Excellent communication and organisation skills

•         Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

•         Excellent keyboard skills for data entry

•         Knowledge of the dental and in particular Oral Medicine speciality (an advantage but not essential)

•         Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
