Steps Together Children's Therapy
About the role
Flexible Employment Options | Mobile Role | Supportive Team Culture
Salary: Annual Salary ($85,000-$110,000 based on experience) + Super + Travel Reimbursement + Bonus Structure
Location: Community role in Perth's eastern Suburbs
The Role: At Steps Together Children's Therapy you will provide neuro-affirming, family-centred assessment and intervention for children aged 2 to 12 years, in their home and school environments. We provide services for children with a range of skills, needs, and diagnoses, across NDIS, Medicare and Private funding streams. We also provide support, education, and embedded intervention services within school environments. Common therapy goals include language development, literacy skills, speech sound development, fluency, and AAC.
What's on offer:
Full-time, or part-time options available to suit your needs.
Paid 9-day fortnight option available. We believe great clinicians do their best work when they have time to recharge. Enjoy one paid day off every fortnight, while earning your full-time salary.
Flexible Bonus Scheme worth up to $4,000/year — $1,000 per term in cash, or swap it for a paid day off. Your choice, every term.
Birthday leave 🥳🥳
$2000 per annum external PD allowance and 2 paid PD days per annum.
Internal clinical supervision, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly to suit your needs. Have a niche you're passionate to learn? We can explore external supervision to up-skill in areas of interest.
Resource Starter Kit: Start with confidence using a curated collection of high-quality therapy resources. Developed by a Speech Pathologist, our starter kit includes many of the resources we use every day with children and families. For therapists with an existing bank of resources, a resource budget will be provided.
Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance provided.
You will have:
Flexible working hours: Choose your availability and start and finish times. Find a pattern of working that works for you!
Manageable KPI - See 25 clients per week, allowing for 13 hours' per week for reports, planning and resources, in your paid hours!
Frequent opportunities for clinical collaboration and peer support. Whether this is to brainstorm ideas, or debrief after a tricky session, we are excited to support each other.
A close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Social catch-ups once per school term.
Full administrative support.
Streamlined workflows and automated systems.
Resources and templates to reduce paperwork burden.
Your small wins celebrated as much as the big ones — a first word, a regulated transition, a successful AAC request — because we know progress in paediatric therapy isn't always linear, and clinicians deserve to see that reflected back to them too. Wins get shared in team catch-ups, not just client files.
Opportunities to explore areas of special interest and develop expertise.
Opportunities for professional growth and innovation. We welcome clinicians who are excited about innovation and interested in developing and implementing new service models, helping us to expand the ways we support children, families, schools, and our community.
About us:
At Steps Together Children's Therapy, we're a close-knit team of 6 Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists who genuinely enjoy working together. We are passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based, neuro-affirming therapy and celebrating every milestone alongside the children and families we support. As a mobile service, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home between visits while still feeling connected through regular collaborative team discussions, frequent phone check-ins, and termly team social catch-ups. Our Director continues to work as a practising therapist, so the systems, processes, and expectations have been thoughtfully designed with clinicians in mind. With full administrative support, you'll have the backing you need to focus on what matters most—your clients and your wellbeing. We believe that exceptional therapy starts with supported therapists, which is why we prioritise wellbeing, genuine connection, and sustainable workloads, empowering you to do your best work without burning out.
About YouWe're looking for someone who:
Is genuinely passionate about working with children, and sharing in their wins.
Communicates clearly and efficiently, and builds strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, schools, and MDT stakeholders.
Is passionate about ongoing learning and professional growth to maintain a high standard of care.
Enjoys working independently while remaining connected to a team.
Is proactive, organised and demonstrates initiative.
What you'll need:
A recognised Speech Pathology qualification
Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Working With Children Check
National Police Clearance
NDIS Worker Screening
First Aid Certificate
Up-to-date Vaccinations
A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Applications from experienced or graduate therapists are welcomed.
We'd Love to Hear From YouIf you're a Speech Pathologist looking for a role that combines flexibility, professional support, and opportunities for growth, we'd love to discuss how we can tailor a position that aligns with your goals and interests.
