Restaurant Manager

Location: Avoca Beach, NSW

Salary: $80,001 - $100,000

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position

• Oversee all venue’s operations including daily opening and closing procedures, cash handling and point-of-sale reconciliation
• Plan and refresh seasonal menus in consultation with chefs and cooks, incorporating fresh local produce, seafood and share-style plates suited to our                         beachside dining concept
• Select and purchase stock, including fresh seafood, seasonal produce and beverages, and maintain accurate records of stock levels, wastage and financial               transactions
• Arrange for the settlement of accounts with suppliers and service providers       Interview, select, employ, train and supervise front-of-house staff, including waitstaff, bar staff and hosts, across our busy all-day trading periods
• Inspect and monitor staff presentation and performance, and the cleanliness and presentation of dining, bar and outdoor beachfront service areas
• Confer with customers to assess satisfaction with meals and service, and resolve complaints promptly to maintain our reputation for relaxed, quality hospitality
• Provide advice to management and staff on ways to improve efficiency, reduce wastage and enhance the quality of food and service delivery
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food safety standards and liquor licensing requirements across service and trading hours
• Take reservations, greet guests, manage table turnover and take orders during peak beachside trade periods
• Roster and manage staff levels to match seasonal demand and weather-dependent trade       Qualification & experience Minimum 3 years' full-time relevant work experience in a similar Café or Restaurant Manager role Demonstrated experience supervising front-of-house staff and daily restaurant operations Sound knowledge of hospitality service standards, WHS obligations, and liquor licensing requirements Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
